2500+ dogs rehomed
28 years of rescue
No kennels, only foster homes.

CARE Dog Rescue is a small, family run, non-profit organisation, dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of dogs. Located in Norfolk, we cover Norfolk, Suffolk and into northern Cambridge. We take in unwanted, abandoned or abused dogs, pay for veterinary treatment and find new homes where the dog can continue its life in a kind, loving environment. CARE also rehome some strays found in the Norfolk area.

CARE Dog Rescue have been operating for around 30 years and have found homes for over 3000 dogs. Once accepted a dog remains with CARE until a suitable home is found.

In those 30 years of rescue there have been less than 10 dogs put to sleep by the council,  who were severely aggressive.  CARE feel that given time a home can be found for almost every dog and that principle has guided CARE since it inception.

If you want to go for one of the supposedly new “First Cross” dog breeds then think again. These mixes are not new and with a little patience and looking around you can very likely find one in a shelter waiting for a new home. The cost will be substantially lower also!!

CARE rehome many local strays as well as bring in some dogs from Spain and Romania, these dogs would remain in a type of kennel for their entire lives otherwise.  We are proud that we are able to help dogs that may have been destroyed in many cases. Without CARE those dogs would be no more.
